About The Islands
There are 4 main inhabited Galapagos Islands:
- Santa Cruz
- San Cristobal
- Isabela
- Floreana
Santa Cruz has a population of over 12,000 residents. It is also the main tourism hub for all of Galapagos. It is also recomended for families
San Cristobal is the fifth largest and easternmost island in the Galapagos. It is know for it's beautiful wildlife.It is also recommended for families.
Isabela is the largest of all the islands, shaped like a sea horse. Galapagos penguins and iguanas are commonly seen on Isabela. It is also recommended for families.
Florena has the most interesting historical background. It is the site of the first "post office", it was established in 1793 by whalers. Also the population is only about 140 people.
